Twenty-nine-year-old Patrick (Jonathan Groff) chases a career as a video-game designer while looking for Mr. Right in San Francisco in Season 1 of this HBO dramedy from creator Michael Lannan. Life is equally complicated for Patrick’s best friends, including college buddy Agustín (Frankie J. Alvarez),an aspiring artist with an independent streak who takes a big step by moving in with his boyfriend (O-T Fagbenle),and Dom (Murray Bartlett),a 39-year-old waiter who dreams of opening up his own restaurant, but has trouble finding the courage - and the cash - to make it happen, though his luck could change after meeting a local florist (Scott Bakula) with the right connections.
